I'm in Sweden. Where are you located? The US?
Any RAM on those nodeboards?

Hello again
After reading a bit more in old news it seems like it
is not possible to mix the old 180MHz nodeboards
with anything else. Since my nodebards are 180MHz
ones (of course) my previous router question might
be unnecessary since getting a router + nodeboards
will probably be out of my budget.
Anyone have old 180Mhz nodeboards lying around?
Is it possible that my midplane is unusable for
newer nodeboards? I read that somewhere. My
O2K is from 1997-1998 I think.
regards

This is true.

Well,... 195mhz and 250mhz are around 15-50 USD on ebay.com and the
r12k@300 starts at 100,- (and sometimes also memory is included). I dont
know your budget but i think a replacement of your 2 180mhz nodes isnt
to expensive.
It only for hobby use, and my wife usually stops me from buying |
to much SGI stuff . The shipping from the US to Sweden
often stops me as well.

My docs doesnt shown any issue about that. The only thing is that a
jumper have to switch when changing from the 180mhz nodes to any other
type and that you need a -003 router when try to use 250mhz or better
nodes. Otherwise you'll get a 'Down REF' warning and runing a
'unsupportet' configuration. About that there is a usenet posting in
c.s.s.* from Alex C.
I'll read that. Thanks |
