Hello

I'm thinking of putting some more nodeboards in
my Origin 2000 Deskside.
It has 2 nodes now (4CPUs) so I guess I have
the null router. In the manual it looks like two
extra routers are needed if I want to expand.

This or 2 Full Router set.

A router and a star router. Is this one board like
SGI no 030-0841-003 or is there more to it?

Full routers give you the possibility for craylink'ling two or more
origin modules :)

That would be really nice. But as long as I only 'need'

one origin, then one router will be enough if I understand
correctly.

It says 030-0841-003 Full ROUTER 8P O2K
on http://www.bbsolutions.com/sgi/onyx2.html
and I interpret that as it is for 8CPUs (max).

Take a look to the following thread on nekochan
http://forums.nekochan.net/viewtopic.php?t=8573

That was an interesting discussion. There was much to learn.

Thanks
