I see that system irix6.5 sturt up.
I can see the Octane logo with :
1) start system
2) install system software
3) ...... etc
Everything is visible but the problem is that if I start the system
maybe it switch to an high-resolution screen and monitor by OSD say that
frequency is too high.

You probably want to pick
5) Enter command monitor
and then at its prompt type "single".
That will bring the system up in single-user mode -- showing
just the vanilla textport, not starting X. (You'll need to
enter the root password at some point too.) With luck the
textport will be shown at a resolution that the monitor can
stand.
Then, at the # shell prompt, use "/usr/gfx/setmon -x ..." to schedule
a low-frequency video mode to be used at next reboot. A safe bet is
/usr/gfx/setmon -x 60hz
or maybe even
/usr/gfx/setmon -x 1024x768_60
Then tell the machine to come up multi-user with something like
init 2
or else just "reboot", and let it come up normally
without stopping in the command monitor. |

On octane 2 and pc monitor with 13w3 to vga adapter.
I see that system irix6.5 sturt up.

1) start system
2) install system software
3) ...... etc
Everything is visible but the problem is that if I start the system
maybe it switch to an high-resolution screen and monitor by OSD say that
frequenzy is to hight.
So nothing is visible.
How can I change video resolution at boot time?
Can I start in console mode and then makes some configuration?
Do you think that the problem start when X11 start the graphic server in
high resolution mode or problem occur before?
thanks in advance
