I've bought a new video card and after that mplayer stopped working. When I
try to play an avi file I've got the following:

Quote:
vo: X11 running at 1152x864 with depth 24 and 32 bpp (":0.0" => local
display)
xscreensaver_disable: Could not find xscreensaver window.
Failed to open /dev/rtc: Permission denied (it should be readable by the
user.)
Opening joystick device /dev/input/js0
Can't open joystick device /dev/input/js0 : No such device
Can't init input joystick
Setting up LIRC support...
mplayer: could not connect to socket
mplayer: Permission denied
Failed to open LIRC support.
You will not be able to use your remote control.
Playing something.avi.
AVI file format detected.
VIDEO: [DX50] 640x480 24bpp 25.000 fps 1010.7 kbps (123.4 kbyte/s)

Opening audio decoder: [mp3lib] MPEG layer-2, layer-3
AUDIO: 48000 Hz, 2 ch, 16 bit (0x10), ratio: 16000->192000 (128.0 kbit)
Selected audio codec: [mp3] afm:mp3lib (mp3lib MPEG layer-2, layer-3)

xscreensaver_disable: Could not find xscreensaver window.
It seems there is no Xvideo support for your video card available.
Run 'xvinfo' to verify its Xv support and read DOCS/HTML/en/video.html#xv!
See 'mplayer -vo help' for other (non-xv) video out drivers. Try -vo x11
Error opening/initializing the selected video_out (-vo) device.

Exiting... (Exit)

I have now problem with kaffeine but it crushes ocasionally and I also get
used to mplayer. I have AVI drivers installed (the latest release).
